How it works: enroll the offer to your eligible AmEx card first (AmEx Offers live in your online account or the AmEx app), then book a hotel using the “pay now” option at hotels.com/amex. The 10% comes back as a statement credit, so a $1,250 pre-paid stay would max out the full $125.
Fine print worth knowing
This one is targeted — not every cardholder will see it, so check your AmEx Offers section before counting on it. Only pre-paid online bookings through hotels.com/amex qualify: pay-at-property rates, phone bookings, gift card purchases, vacation rentals and packages, and car rentals are all excluded. And if you stack a third-party cashback portal or coupon code on the same booking, the statement credit is invalidated — pick one or the other.
