This Weekend’s Freebies (Oct 31-Nov 1) – FREE
Halloween weekend still has free things worth leaving the house for, and Sunday is not a dead day either. Two verified in-store events span Saturday, October 31 and Sunday, November 1, and neither asks you to buy anything first. Go early where supplies are limited, and confirm your local store is taking part before you drive over.
1. LEGO Scary Creatures Scavenger Hunt — through Saturday, October 31
Participating LEGO Stores are running a Halloween hunt through the end of Saturday, October 31. Walk in during store hours, search the displays for the brick-built spooky figures hidden around the shop, and collect a free treat once you have tracked them down. Treats are handed out while supplies last, no purchase is needed, and the display figures themselves are not for sale. Details and the store finder are on LEGO’s event page.
2. Michaels hand-stitched holiday card — Sunday, November 1, 1-3 PM
Michaels kicks off its holiday crafting season on Sunday, November 1 with a free hand-stitched card session from 1 to 3 PM. The project uses yarn and foam to build a textured, embroidered holiday greeting card, all supplies are provided, and the session is aimed at ages 6 and up. No registration is required, though signing up ahead can hold your spot. Register or find your store through Michaels’ classes page.
