This Weekend’s Freebies (Oct 24-25): 12 Free Things to Grab Before They’re Gone
Admin This weekend is stacked — and I mean actually free, not “free with a $50 purchase” free. Twelve things you can walk out with this Saturday and Sunday without spending a dime on most of them. The catch? A bunch of them are today-only, and the good ones run out fast. Start with Saturday’s list first, then plan Sunday.
Quick heads-up before you head out: almost everything here is in-store only and varies by location. A couple need a free loyalty account or an RSVP, and I’ve flagged those. When in doubt, call your store before you drive over.
Today — Saturday, October 24 (hurry, most of these end today)
1. Target — Free gem stickers + Halloween makeup demos
Select Target stores are running Halloween beauty events from 12–4 PM today, and everyone walks away with free multi-use gem stickers while they last. The demos feature NYX or Maybelline and essie, depending on your store — NYX demos are 16+, Maybelline + essie are 14+. No purchase needed, but check that your store is participating first. Full details here.
2. Lowe’s — Two free MrBeast Swarms (first 100 members per store)
It’s MrBeast Day at Lowe’s, and starting at 10 AM the first 100 MyLowe’s Rewards members at each store get two free exclusive Lowe’s Swarms — the little MrBeast Lab collectibles you can’t buy anywhere else. MyLowe’s Rewards is free to join, but you do need to show your member ID in the app or have them look you up by phone number. One giveaway per member, so no store-hopping for extras. Full details here.
3. Michaels — Free ghost or spider craft for kids
From 10 AM–12 PM, kids (ages 4+) can make a fuzzy ghost or spider out of chenille stems at Michaels — supplies included, no registration required. You can sign up ahead if you want to guarantee a spot, but walk-ins are fine. Full details here.
4. LEGO stores — Free Halloween scavenger hunt (runs all week)
Head to a participating LEGO store any time from today through October 31, hunt down the hidden brick-built pumpkins around the shop, and score a free treat. No purchase, no sign-up — just show up and start searching. Treats are while supplies last. Full details here.
5. Petco — Free treats + Halloween portraits for your pet
Bring your pet in costume to Petco today for Petcoween portraits and a free treat, all day at participating stores. There’s also a free Hill’s fresh dog food tasting from 2–4 PM. And if you miss today, the in-store trick-or-treat for costumed dogs runs through October 31. Full details here.
6. Jack in the Box — Free Monster Taco + small drink (costume required)
This one is pure fun: show up at Jack in the Box dressed as Jack today and you get a free Monster Taco and a small drink, no purchase necessary. A suit and tie works, a yellow hat with a red tie works, even a DIY Jack head works. It’s today only, and participation can vary by location, so a quick call ahead doesn’t hurt. Full details here.
7. Lakeshore Learning — Free stained glass art for kids
From 11 AM–3 PM, kids can make Halloween stained glass art with Kwik Stix paint sticks at any Lakeshore Learning store. It’s a free walk-in event — no reservation needed — and parents who check in on arrival get entered for a chance at a $100 Lakeshore e-gift card. Full details here.
8. Pottery Barn Kids — Free Halloween craft (RSVP first!)
Pottery Barn Kids has a free Halloween craft event at 10 AM today — but this is the one you can’t just show up for. Space is limited and an RSVP through their store-events page is required, so grab a spot before you go. Full details here.
Tomorrow — Sunday, October 25
9. Dave’s Hot Chicken — Free slider with any purchase (app offer)
Through tomorrow, Frequent Fryer members can get a free slider with any purchase at Dave’s Hot Chicken — but you have to claim it in the app first, and it’s one per guest. Fair warning: this one lives in the app, not on Dave’s public offers page, so open your app and confirm it’s there before you order. Full details here.
10. LEGO stores — Free Ghost Street build (Insiders only)
The big one for LEGO fans: on Sunday from 12–2 PM, LEGO Insiders (free to join) can build a Ghost Street model and take it home. It’s for builders ages 6+, one per guest, first come first served while supplies last — so get there early, because these kits always run out. A few stores held theirs on different days, so confirm your store is doing it Sunday. Full details here.
11. Krispy Kreme — Free doughnut with any purchase
Through tomorrow, Krispy Kreme Rewards members get any doughnut free with any purchase — yes, any doughnut, and the purchase can be something small. Limit one, and you need to be a Rewards member (free to join). Not valid in Puerto Rico or at the Times Square shop. Full details here.
12. PetSmart — Tricks for Treats Halloween event
Round out the weekend at PetSmart from 10 AM–4 PM: pets trick-or-treat at stations all over the store, there’s a Halloween photo area with props, coloring pages and sticker sheets for the kids, and the first 50 attendees get a free Halloween tote bag. Costumes are encouraged but not required — your pet is a star either way. Full details here.
Bottom line: if you only have time for a few stops, make it Lowe’s at 10 AM (those Swarms will be gone fast), Michaels or Lakeshore for the kids, and Jack in the Box for lunch — then save LEGO Ghost Street and PetSmart for Sunday. Everything above is free or free-with-a-small-purchase, and every item links to its own detailed post on this site if you want the fine print. Happy freebie hunting!
Freebie verified October 24, 2026. Events are in-store only unless noted, and participation, times, and supplies vary by location — confirm with your local store before heading out.
