Free Houston Halloween Weekend Events (Oct 30-Nov 1) – FREE
Halloween weekend in Houston has plenty to do that costs nothing at all. We pulled together three free events running Friday, October 30 through Sunday, November 1, all checked against the organizers’ own pages, so you can plan the weekend without worrying about a ticket price.
1. CITYCENTRE 15th Annual Halloween Trick-or-Treat — Friday, Oct 30, 5–8 PM
Head to CITYCENTRE (800 Town and Country Blvd, Houston) in costume and work your way from store to store collecting candy — participating shops and restaurants mark their doors with festive balloons. Trick-or-treating runs 5:00–6:45 PM, then everyone gathers in The Plaza at 7:00 PM for spooky tunes and a Halloween performance. The event goes on rain or shine, and you will want your own candy bucket or bag. Full details at the link below.
2. Houston Food Bank Halloween Trunk-or-Treat Party — Saturday, Oct 31, 11:30 AM–1:30 PM
A daytime party at the Houston Food Bank (535 Portwall St, Houston) to get the kids warmed up for nighttime trick-or-treating. Expect decorated trunks handing out candy, a DJ, yard games, a bounce house, a kid-friendly spooky lounge with bingo, a coloring station, face painting, balloon twisting, a photo booth, and a costume contest with prizes. Lunch items are available for purchase at the Texans Cafe, but the party itself is free.
3. Traders Village Halloween Village — through Sunday, Nov 1
Traders Village Houston (7979 N Eldridge Pkwy) has been running its Halloween Village all month, and the final weekend is October 31–November 1. Admission to the market is free; the one cost to know about is $6 parking. Wander the Halloween-decorated market, shop the vendors, and soak up the seasonal setup before it closes for the year on November 1 at 6 PM.
