FREE Buddhist Books by Mail – Up to 6 Titles with Free Shipping
Abhayagiri Monastery, a Buddhist monastery in California, mails out free Dhamma books to anyone in the US who asks — up to six titles per order, with postage covered by the monastery's publications fund. These are print books on Buddhist teachings and practice, mailed to your door at no cost.
The request process is simple: browse the monastery's book list, click “Request Print Copy” on up to six titles, and submit the form with your shipping details. Volunteers check the form and mail books roughly every other week, so expect your books in about two to three weeks. The books are free for personal use — they are not for resale, and if you no longer need them, the monastery asks you to pass them to a friend, a library, or back to the monastery.
How to claim
- Go to the Book Request page on abhayagiri.org (link below).
- Click “Select Additional Books” to browse the list and add up to six titles with “Request Print Copy”.
- Fill in your name and US shipping address, add any notes in the comments field, and submit.
- Wait for the books — volunteers mail them about every other week.
